Nirvana in the name of Cobain

2024 jährte sich Kurt Cobains Todestag zum 30.Mal und die Trauer um seinen frühen Tod ist so groß wie am ersten Tag danach. Dabei gibt es ähnlich wie bei den Sex Pistols nur ein relevantes Album: "Nevermind" (OK es gibt noch "Bleach" und "in utero"). Und als zweiter musikalischer Meilenstein "Unplugged in New York". Seit 2012 wandeln die Musiker aus Usti nad Orlik auf den Spuren von Nirvana, nennen sich In the name of Cobain und spielen jedes Jahr ca. 40 Shows in Tschechien und der Slowakei. Nun soll der deutschsprachige Raum erobert werden, denn so ne richtige amtliche Nirvana Tribute Band fehlt noch (Teen Spirit sind Österreicher. Also her mit den Klubs und Auftrittsmöglichkeiten, wir spielen "Smells like teen spirit" "Come as you are", "Lithium", "Polly"... mit der gleichen Energie wie Cobain & co in den frühen 90ern. Im Repertoire sind so gut wie alle Nirvana- Songs und Kurt Cobain hätte es sicher gefallen, daß in dieser Band ein Mädchen am Schlagzeug sitzt! Alternativ und als ganz besonderes Event spielen wir auch das komplette Set von "Unplugged in New York", aufgenommen vor nunmehr 30 Jahren, ein wunderschönes sehr intimes musikalisches Erlebnis.
